Bettin' the Ponies

So this is a little late getting posted but I have finally uploaded our pics from the first weekend in May. We headed up to Louisville to meet up with some friends to bet the ponies. Sadly, we didn’t win anything. The worst part is that I did place a bet on Mine that Bird for Derby but it was an exacta and I sure didn’t pick any other winners. We might have come home with empty wallets, but we had a great time.

After the races we headed to Tony Boombozz for some pizza but had to make a quick pit stop for some ribs. There were tons of people grilling out and selling food in their front yards. We stopped off and had absolutely the best food I have ever had – ribs, smoked chicken, green beans, macaroni and cheese, corn salad, potato salad and more. We really thought about moving in with these nice ladies. We have marked this house and plan on going back next year. We love to eat, so this was probably the best part of our day :)
