We made a quick trip up to Louisville to spend New Year’s Eve with some friends and had a great time!
Brooke, Kourtlee and myself...
Jay, Derrick and Gravil... (The boys stooped down so that Derrick could have at least one picture where he looked like he was the tallest. Such good friends.)

And we made it home in time to get to the grocery store and get the “lucky” foods so Derrick wouldn't flip out. Seriously, I am scared what would happen if that boy didn’t get his collards, black eyed peas and pork on New Years Day.
Umm…black eyed peas are not tasty. Maybe I just don’t know how to cook them. If 2010 is really going to be a reflection on how many of those little suckers we ate then it’s over. The dogs, however, will be very blessed. They loved them! Which is a good thing because I hate to waste food and my fridge is full. There is no way I was throwing out the coconut cake Derrick’s Mammaw baked us to make room for leftover peas.

Charlie realized about half way through the meal that noboy was eating the peas. I guess he figured that was his best chance so he spent the remainder of dinner watching over the bowl.
At least Annie just gives you sad eyes from under the table.
Here is a group picture. Nobody was about to take their little eyes off the table. Entirely too much food left over. Which is rare for us.
Hahahahaha! I love that last picture! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
ReplyDeleteI love it! Your black eyed peas looked like the ones I cooked my first New Years Day away from home!
